I assume that with the FI on the America and Speedmaster
for 2009 that the mileage would be different from previous
models. Does anyone have average miles per tank on the
new models?

I'm getting around 43 mpg with carbs. What are you getting on your EFI model, Rev?

Hi Rev - I get 195 miles per tank (312kms) including reserve on my 09 EFI America - mostly short commuting and aggressive throttle.

Cheers, Richard

I am getting 55 miles to each of our English gallons (average over last 5 tank fulls so a mix of riding).

I haven't traded my V-Star yet. I joined here to read
through the posts for info as well as to ask a few
questions about the bike.

I don't doubt it Greybeard. It is a matter of timing and
finances at this point.

Hi Rev - I'm getting 280-300 kms, say 175 to 190 miles, per tank to the reserve light, but not using reserve. Haven't tried running it out yet. 2008 EFI America. Not thrashing it but not trying to spare it, either. 80% backroads, 20% town.

Isn't there a gallon left in the tank after reserve?

I just checked my carbed 2008 for the first time at 5500 miles. I am getting 55 with conservative riding in hill country. REV- I take it you are a man of the cloth. Excellent! We need prayer big time.
