Was at a shop today and asked what was the absolute best chrome polish they had ever come across. He hads me a jar of Mothers Billet Polish and says this is it. I asked "this says billet polish". He says it works on chrome and aluminum great. So what the heck... I bought it.
Got home and tried it out. Day before yesterday I had already detailed the bike out pretty good (polished the chrome with Turtle Wax Chrome Polish). After using this stuff I was amazed. The rags I used were absolutely black after cleaning the chrome again... and it shines like a new mirror. WOW.
Incidentally, I also cleaned the aluminum shrouds with it too... now I swear they look like they were chromed.

I've been using mother's products for a while and I've always been happy with the results. I've never used the billet polish but I might have to give it a try now.

I had a tim of Simichrome sent to me from Cananda... Now that stuff takes some beating..

I love the Mothers polish, I've been through several cans of it.

I also use the Mothers brand chrome polish. Good stuff. Good Stuff.

I never use abrasive polishes on chrome. A good coat of wax is all she needs.

I used Mother's Chrome polish when my bike was new to remove bluing. It's good stuff.

That's a good point, and something I think about when I use it. Very gently on chrome.

Love the mother's stuff too. Sometimes I'll clean my chrome with Gunk Glass Cleaner before polishing. Man, does that stuff ever leave it gleaming. Then polish is added to protect the chrome.

ive always had good luck with stuff call "flitz polish" good for any surface includeing paint....Really gets the dirt out of the chrome....little bit of elbow grease and that shines like the sun....more expensive than every other type of polish i have ever seen...but its worth the price...a litte bit goes a long long ways

If you use an abrasive polish it will take a fine layer of chrome of every time you use it , until one day it starts to rust because you are down to bare metal
It`s great on alloy or stainless

This stuff  will also polish aluminum into a chrome look. It's kind of like shredded textile embedded with abrasive. Lotta elbow grease = a chrome like finish I don't believe I'd use it on chrome though. For a great source in buff & polish info & supplies, and power tool based buffing products, see this link

Mother's SynWax does a really nice job on chrome! I will use Nev-r-Dull only in extreme circumstances on chrome to remove something that has baked / dried on and then always follow with a fresh coat of wax.

I feel like I need to post this. The fine print on the jar (Mothers Billet Polish) does say it's not for use on chrome. So please (if you decide to use it) do so at your own risk. I got to thinking about it and I'm probably not going to use it again (on the chrome). I think I'll get the Mothers Chrome Polish and try that out (since it is the product actually designated for use on chrome). I will continue to use the Billet Polish on the shrouds.

I have bad chips and scratches on fork leg which I am afraid to use non trusted products.

Have you applied it to the wheels as well or just the paint and chrome?

SynWax on just the paint and chrome... When I polish the wheels I use the Mother's Mag polish.
