I want to install new main jets and everything I read, it mentions that you have to remove the carbs. Is this true? Can the bowls be lowered on the bike?
Thanks

You can drop the bowls without taking the carbs off. Replace the phillips screws with allen head screws when you do it. The jet collar will come out with an 8mm wrench, then you put in the new jet in it and screw it back in place. Put the allen screws back in and tighten up.

Only if you're a Hobbit.

Take one of you old screws to the hardware store. Not Home Depot or Lowes, a real hardware store. You don't have to replace the gasket unless you tear yours when you take it off, and that's very unlikely.

I got mine at Ace Hardware, they have a good selection and cost quite a bit less than Newspeedmaster.
