I'm thinking a trip to a specialty shop where you can make you own 6-pack is in order. Trader Joe's and World Market both do that, and some grocery stores will too. Don't buy bottles with dust on them, it's not wine!

You include Gennessee (I'm tasting warm vomit in the back of my throat at just the thought) but leave out Pabst ? Make the bad man stop!

He left off the barrel, bottle & can man Blatz label also, not to mention Schmidt "Animal" beer.
I'm done with this thread.

I've stumbled upon a few beers made by Deschuttes Brewery in Bend, OR. I've had their Mirror Pond Pale Ale, Black Butte Porter, and Green Lakes Organic Ale. All are very good.

Erwin, a road trip to the Victory Brewery & Restaurant in Downingtown PA is in order. And also a separate trip to the Ship Inn brewery & restaurant in Milford, NJ. ...in moderation of course.

Interesting choices!!! Love to read'em all.
I used to work for Inbev....have tried a lot of different beers!
Beers are like wine, different beers for different occasions/meals. Nice to see people trying different brews.
Personally
Alexander Keith's IPA or Red Amber Ale Leffe Brun Brahma (only on a ridiculously hot day) Becks (on draught only, not in the bottle) Bud Light (draught only) Hoegaarden Labatt Blue Great Western Light Bud (I know, its too mainstream for beer lovers to like, but blind taste tests will say otherwise)
Cheers! Ceuls

I just got into the new Schlitz. They went back to the formula from the 50's, very limited distribution. Actually a great beer. Other than that, I like the Lienenkugel's Summer Shanty when it starts to warm up around here... Rich

Pretty basic, in order of preference..
Sam Adams Boston Lager Bass Ale Guinness Stout
An occasional Yuengling Black and Tan
Grew up with Narragansett.
I'd go without before I'd drink any of the Bud, Miller, Coors or similar products.

My two favorites are 'free' and 'cold. And Sam Adams, Schafley, Goose Island Honker Ale, New Glarus Sotted Cow, Anchor Steam and the cool refreshing taste of beechwood-aged Budweiser can all find a spot in my fridge. Come to think of it, I never met a non-light beer I didn't like at least a little.

If I can't get a New Castle Brown Ale my next choice would be Heineken Dark.

If you haven't tried the new Shlitz yet, don't knock it.. It really is outstanding. Like I said, very limited production probably more of a micro brew now than some ot these others being listed..

While in Boston a few winters ago, holed up in a hotel with outside temps at 14 below, I developed a serious liking for Harpoon India Pale Ale (IPA).

After 8 pages of posts about beer I find that you all run in differant circles than I... A beer calms your thirst... it aint a fancy micro brew, it's what's on tap wherever you may be
