Yeah, Yota?! Well, if the pic you were going to post was the same one that Leno down in Texas posted on the "News Flash" thread yesterday, then he must've somehow sneaked it in here then, 'cause so far none of the moderators have seemed to care.

(yep...I think the text on the other picture is what REALLY makes it funny!..."You little b*stard. You've killed us all!!!")

We had to pick up our daughter from the Dulles (DC area) airport this evening, coming back from Europe. Her flight was delayed several hours, so of course we went to a bar for several adult beverages. Feeling pretty good, we return to International arrival to find two DC camera crews waiting for plane to disembark from Munich. It seems the plane was diverted because someone onboard was suspected of having the Swine Flu. Of course, I start hamming it up around the cameras, embarrasing the wife. News is on at 11, I'm curious if my antics made the cut.

Sadly, I didn't make the cut and am still looking for my big break. I probably shouldn't have been recording with my cell phone held overhead and than telling the anchor that I was going to scoop her and put it out on Twitter.......

Strictly speaking this entire pork flu craze/endemic/supposed is just .......

BS. When all is said and done the likelyhood that it causes any more trouble than your every day garden variety flu is ........BS.

Garden variety flu still kills some thousands in the US alone every year mostly those who are vulnerable the elderly and infirm and young children.

Garden Variety flu is getting no publicity at all.

Think about it.

And we must collectively consider the politics of this pork chop dilemma.

If an administration were to NOT make a big deal about it and then it were to kill a lot of people ....that administration whomever it might be would end up as the centrpiece of a spike lee documentary effectively dragging it through the farmyard pig feces.

Better to make a big deal of the whole issue and be on the safe side......politically speaking anyway.

It might be time to pop another pain pill there Kev!

(and here just yesterday you were bein' sooooooo nice and all in that "Pigs Fly" thread o' Bill's!!!)

Actually, I HAVE thought about your theory here as you advised in your previous posting, however I'm too preoccupied right now with laughin' my a$$ off after reading the post just above yours when our new site member Ron said..."My wife's all paranoid about the Swine Flu seeing as she married a pig."

And I think THAT probably would describe a "thought" that is probably even MORE universal in its inherent truths about us husbands of the world than even the possibility that your latest theory here might be true, ol' buddy!!!

(...'cause I know for a FACT that MY WIFE married a friggin' pig TOO, ya know!!!)

You have to admit the political expediency of the issue as it concenrns media representation.

Matters not who or what entity is in power. Truthfully the likelyhood that bacon flu will be the next black death is over rated yet over publicized. (The cable news channels need something to talk to) and the administration dare not be perceived as taking the issue lightly.
