Hi,

How do you add pictures stored in photobucket to the forum?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

If you have an image you are looking at look at the little table under it. You will see a line for Image code. Copy and paste that code into your message box.

That will automatically put the IMG coding in the right place with the web address of the image.

The image below came from photobucket. Right mouse on it and look at properties. That web link if pasted into a new browser screen will take you right to the picture.

Images are coded with at the end. The ubb code tells it it he beginning its a pic and the /img at the end tells it the command is over.

Right clicking the pic didn't work for me with Phoitobucket, maybe they changed something but I use the direct link to the lower right of the pic after you open it or under the thumb if you rest your mouse on it. Paste that into the box that opens when you click "image" in the instant UBB code.

I'm finding photobucket to be a rather slow site. Anyone care to comment?

you can upload pics on photobucket.com, a separate server from here and just link the photos in your post.
photopost has gone the way of the dodo

Photobucket is a website totally independent from here that lets you upload (store) pictures for free (until you reach a certain limit then they ask for bux). From there you can link your photos to here. Photopost on the other hand is/was a part of this site. The old timers here can best fill you in on what photopost is all about but I do know that if you upload pics to photobucket you can link them to here and have them displayed.

Photopost is toast.

Photobucket is okay, but Flickr is quicker.

I'm a poet and didn't know it.

Picasa don't rhyme with crap.

Because it's slow,
Why I don't know
But I say phuck it to photobucket

But Flickr is quicker
And Picasa is fasta
The slow one we might as well chuck it.

I don't get what part of photobucket you all think is slow, is it the upload speed? Mine gets it done quick, even with a lot of pics at one time.
