I bought my TBA used and the original owner could not locate the steering lock keys. Does anyone know of a way of obtaining replacement keys, or maybe I have to replace the lock with new keys?

Not sure but in most cases there is either a number on the lock you can use to have one made or you can get one made by using your VIN number. Not sure if Triumph did either one of those but that is the most common way.

If you can get the lock out, a locksmith could make a key for it.

I do not know how you would go about rmoving the lock, though.

Hmmmm, food for thought. I'll have to look closely at that to see if I can get it out.

If my memory serves the key blank is a stock Volvo item so you'll need to look for a locksmith that has that blank to work from.

If it,s for security of bike I wouldn't be too concerend about steering lock. These things only deter only the most casual of thieves. Better off with good disc lock and chain.

The Tech Vault list the steering lock as Volvo - Silca NE10. Check under Parts cross reference. Bob
