I ride mostly above 60 MPH on my daily commute. I've noticed something that seems unusual about the way the motor responds at full throttle, and I'm wondering if it's a common characteristic of these bikes. Specifically, if I'm cruisin' at 70 MPH, WOT feels pretty sluggish. I don't usually ride much faster than 75, so for a long time, I thought this was just a symptom of the bike running out of steam. However, I've been testing at somewhat higher speeds lately, and have discovered that this sluggishness disappears above 80 MPH or so. In fact, if I nail it at 85, it really takes off. I don't have a tach, so it hasn't been possible to compare this to any of the dyno curves I've seen. Does this sound like a normal condition, just a matter of the motor making more HP at the higher RPMs? Everything is stock except the pipes and 125 mains.

May want to richen the midrange by shimming the needles, or switching to TBS needles.

Mine runs strong all the way up to about 110 or so indicated. Still runs strong after that but I think that is where the power starts dropping off a little. I think you may still need some work on the jetting.
