Yeah, that's what I was curious about...a valve spring compressor to remove the valves. Actually, taking them out is the easy part, it's getting them back in. I bought
one of these, but obviously it won't work.
After 66,000 miles, I have some carbon buildup on the underside of the valves, so I was going to take them out, clean them up and put them back in with new seals. After thinking about my options though, I just decided to send my head off to get it ported and polished, plus the new valve seals.
