Well, I made it back. After a month or so with the Tiger up for sale....I got it done. I am the proud owner of a 03 America. Left my place last Friday morning at 3:00 A.M. got home Friday night at 11:00 P.M. 4 tanks of gas, a U-haul trailer and 20 hours in the pick-up. Man, I am still a little saddle sore. Cannot tell you how good it feels to be back on an America. Just a few add-ons/ changes and I will be back where I was a year and a half ago. I just never did feel right about letting my first one go.

One does gain a lot of affection for the America. This I say after returning from another perm-a-grin ride.

Glad everything worked out for you to get back on the America Joe. You guys over in Hattiesburg really have a great Triumph shop to take care of you. Had some work done there a year or so ago, good folks who know their stuff.

Hello everyone, Have not had a bike in 20 years[Honda 750's]. Started looking for a HD, freinds, other people,or whatever. Stumbled on a Triumph & started some more research. Liked what I discovered. Found a 2004 TBA on Craigslist with 8000 miles on it, 1000 miles away but the deal was working for $2500.00, ended up sending some young people I know to get it [her]. Not realy seeing it did not know what to expect. Could not have been happier. Hope to figure out how to work this forum soon and have some positive input. Thank You

Welcome. My experience is virtually the same as yours, except it had been 35 years since I had ridden (my 100cc Yamaha Twinjet in college) and I found my 04 black (they go faster) TBA on EBay! I've had it for 2 summers so far and absolutely love it. 'Can't imagine wanting anything else at this point.

Thanks fellers. I have a few pics of the bike in question but I better hold on to them till everyone heads for the GA rally. I just finished installing RIII grips, had to get rid of those Kury's...don't take that personal Kury clan....just not me favorite grippies. Oh, never put RED loc-tite on your bar ends.....takes a torch and some carefully placed wet rags to pull that one off. Especially after they have been broken off inside the bars *$&%&%*!!!. In a truly twisted, sadistic sorta way, that kinda stuff right there is what I missed. The back porch tinker factor was just not poosible with the Tiger. I got carbs back dude!! I can tear this bike apart, scatter it all over my garage and just mess with it...ya know, man stuff ( argh...argh.argh.. in my best Tim Taylor voice) Got a few more doo-dads to change out and I will get some pictures of my new ride up. Kiaser, I liked it O.K.....the bulk of my riding is a 26mile oneway commute.....I just didn't "use" all the Le tigre has to offer. It had no chrome or spokes and while that triple howling was sweet.. It ain't no P-twin. Just wasn't for me. Awesome machine but not an America. I like to refer to it as one of those "lessons well bought"!!
