ghost o' lucas  My 05 Speedmaster came with an allen wrench "tool kit" stuck up under a side cover. A roll of black tape would have been more useful.

Oh, oh... this doesn't sound good. I just restored an 81 Honda and from frame on up and not one rubber anything had noticeable deterioration.

A lot depends where the bike is, the sun will destroy rubber parts. Also the old stuff had real rubber not the synthetic stuff they use now and the old rubber held up better.

Just gonna end up like the old bikes. What I do right now is any old bike I want to ride much I pull all the wire out of it and rewire it myself so I don't have electrical issues.
