That's good news indeed. Do you know if the new case is the updated design? I was wondering if they had to change the breather to the new style.

Lon, when mine was changed a year and half ago, it was the new breather style. I think all the improved (beefed up) casings would be the newer style. The older one had a rotary breather which was eliminated on the newer ones.

Triumph has been fixing those out of warranty under good will. I would contact them first. The engine block in the thread at Trat you linked to is from an 05 and will have the same weal spot where yours broke. If you are going to buy a block or engine I would look for the new style crankcase. I forget what year the fixed that, might be 07.

Hello Nagibe. Welcome to the forums. I read your post on the other site. Bad luck. This bushing tends to break if your bike continually backfires on startup putting a strain on the starting circuit. The bushing is the weak point. If goodwill warranty doesn't work, try Pinwall Cycles on Ebay. They even have engine parts for our bikes. Give them a call and make sure the engine is a 360 degree not a 270.
