I know other guys have commented about the Kuryakyn Iso Grip being loose on the throttle side. Mine has quite a bit of play in it as well.
I haven't taken it back apart to investigate. Has anyone got a cure?

Your supposed to cut the spacer to take up some of the slack. I didnt do this the first time and it moved a lot. I recently added the spacer and its all but stopped.

Actually, there was a bit of play before the throttle cables were engaged - not side to side. I readjusted the throttle cables. I thought I had no more room to adjust - but I went the other way and backed them up about an 1/8 of an inch. That did the trick. I do have just a smidgeon of play side to side, but not enough to bother with. Thanks Zmilin.

If there's zero play , yer gonna have a sticky throttle , ya need 1/8" or so of play . Get it all together , then loosen the screws that hold the control housing halves together , and slide it over to the right a smidge . That's what I did , no complaints . Now go get a Throttle Boss for the K grips , nice .

+1 on the Throttle Boss. That was the best part of having the K grips on my Speedmaster.

This morning, I loosened up the throttle housing and pushed the grip in as far as it would go. I saw that it was going to stick - so I moved the grip back out a bit and tightened it back up. Next, I found the sweet spot on the throttle cables. I rode today and the throttle play is gone . Much better. I didn't need the spacer. I've had the isos and the throttle boss on for about a year. It took me a little while to get used to the feel and the looks of the throttle boss - but now I really like it.

The trick to the Boss is to get it in the right configuration - just naturally against the heel of your palm at about 3/4 throttle or cruising speed . Glad ya got it worked out .
