I want to purchase a sissy bar and rack and am considering either the Triumph model or the one from Newspeedmaster.com. Does anyone have any experience or opinions on either one of them. The off brand is a lot cheaper. http://newspeedmaster.com/html/luggage_rack.htmlThanks

I have the Triumph one w/out the rack and the wife likes it alot. When I ride alone I usually take it off because, in my opinion, it looks cleaner with out the pillion seat and sissy bar.

I have the Triumph one as well and leave the sissy bar on all the time and only put the rack on when I need it.

I have the black one from newspeedmaster and I like it a lot. I think the black goes nicely with the black-out speedmaster and is a little more subtle than the Triumph one. The backrest doesn't seem to have as much padding as the Triumph, but my fiance said it works well.

If Newspeedmaster would offer that black rack without the backrest/sissybar then I would buy one in a heartbeat. I bet that others would, also.

I quote myself from Triumphrat.net forum: "I have the one from Newspeedmaster.com. It´s actually nice and "does the job". Check my pictures: http://www.triumphrat.net/hinckley-twins-picture-forum/58033-america-and-speedmaster-pics-16.htmlThe only thing was that the mounting holes were drilled, hmmm well, about somewhere where they should be so I had to make two of them bigger to make it fit. Poor quality work one might say. For 299$ (about 225€ + shipping + taxes etc.) one would expect at least the mounting holes to be drilled correctly but I guess you can´t demand that much and it´s also difficult to work with it without peeling the paint of the rack. Anyway, I have had it for about a year now and still haven´t dropped my wife or luggage so I guess I can recommend it especially since I like the black finish over the OEM chrome."

I also have one of the black ones from NewSpeedmaster. I really like the design, it sits low over the fender and my wife likes the backrest, but I also had to drill out the holes in order to mount it. I'm using it but the fit and the finish don't seem to warrant the price, in my opinion
ride when I can, work when I have to

Nice to notice I´m not the only one. Somehow I first thought I got the faulty one cause it´s a long way from Finland to come and complain but I guess that`s not the case here.

I have the black ones from newspeedmaster and love the look. The Triumph racks sit too high IMO and I wanted a black finish. Had no issues with the holes. Had to buy longer screws due to my saddlebag setup though.
The rack actually bolts to the fender and the sissy bar bolts to the rack. So the sissy bar can be removed easily from the rack.
