We were at Jack's Hill cafe this morning and noticed there is a bike meet on 19th April.

I dunno if it is going to be a big event like the ton up day last year but I'll probably turn up for a look around and a bit of food. I would anticipate that there will be quite a few folks turn up.

The ton up day is unfortunately on the 19th July this year so we might not go unless we catch the tail end of it when we come back from Dent.

Sorry but I can't find any links to both these events although the woman at the counter did say that they are trying to organise more bike events there.

Little breezy here, but the warm thing in the sky is out, unfortunately it forecast rain all week from here on. But we'll see

Ray,
You're always welcome if you want to stop over bro

Lardie,

Not too far from me mate. Newton Longville at the end of the new dual carriageway.

All I can say about Jacks Hill is that it is quite a good transport cafe - nothing too fancy and you get quite a lot of bikes around there on a sunday certainly quite a few old British bikes and a fair few HD's as there is a main dealer just down the road.

Certainly very pro biker there though.

I have done a lot of searching for this event but cannot find anything mentioned on it all. I can find other events which sound as though they are better organised.

Does anyone know what is actually going on?

Ray,

I think there s just a bike meet there, nothing in particular. But even on a normal sunday there is a fairly good turn out of all sorts of bikes and a pretty good breakfast.

I have had a look around to see if it is advertised on the web and the only mention I saw was on the MCN website in the events page for sunday 19 April and that was it.

I just thought I'd mention it on here as there seems to be a few of us from around the region.

Thanks Graham, we have a local meet at Knott End on the Sunday probably go to that. Monday night was a cracker at St.Annes with an estimated 600 bikes turning up, even had Warlock and his Mrs make the run from Hyde.

Look on the bright side, you will be saving on your electric bill. Wendy won't need her bedside lamp to read by tonight!!!!

Great day, good to see you all again.
