Switched over to '08 America alloy wheels a couple thousand miles ago. Heard a tinkling sound when moving the bike today. Jacked it up, rotated rear wheel, there it is. Sounds like a nut or something rattling around in the hollow hub part of the rear wheel. Laying on the ground, shining a flashlight up into the little holes, I see a loose chunk of aluminum in there. I'm due for cush rubber replacement. Has anyone else had a piece of wheel or hopefully a piece of the sprocket carrier break off? I have a spare sprocket carrier, not a spare wheel.

Is that the old or new style wheels?

'08 America alloy wheels. Bought new from someone on ebay "doing a custom".
Got the wheel off, its just a piece of excess casting slag that broke loose and started rattling around in there. Had me worried. Now the fun part- putting it back together.
