I'm heading up to Little Switzerland tomorrow (Sat. 4/4/09) Along the way will be hitting Bat Cave,Old Fort,Then to LIttle Switzerland and back down the Blue Ridge Parkway, southwest toward Asheville. Anybody from the area want to meet up?

Hey Rob, that sounds like a good day, and the weather's supposed to be beautiful. I wish I could join up, but can't do it this weekend...kids' soccer make-up games from all the rain we've had.

Bummer. Hopefully we'l have more opportunities soon. Steve (XHD) is gonna go with me. I'd love to meet a few of the other "locals". I know there's more of us around here.

OK. Here ya go.
Y'all missed out on a FANTASTIC ride today! Great weather, little to no traffic and some AWESOME roads!
We made it to the intended target.
Along the way, we passed by Lake Lure.
Took a quick jaunt up the BRP.
Found a really good BBQ joint for lunch. ...and one last stop before parting ways.
Couldn't ask for any more. What a grand day!

You definitely beat me to Caesar's Head... I never made it. We got a late start and had to be back early so we spent 4 hours exploring some of the 2 lane roads in Anderson County. We found a Grist Mill originally built in 1784 and then rebuilt in 1898. The current owner brought the mill back to life in 2002, after a 40 year nap. Photos coming...

Rob really put me through some awesome roads going to the BRP! I was able to introduce him to one he hadn't been on from Hendersonville to 276 outside Brevard as partial payback. All told, a super way to kill 9 hours on a beautiful day! Thanks Rob!
