I was just at the NRA website and couldn't find anything like this. My grandfather was a life member, they gave it to him.

better hide! I have been wanting to be a life member like my grandfather for most of my life. I collect and carry.

whoa!!! I call sanctuary behind my couch here! Collect and carry all you want, no problems here, I just don't get the NRA thing I guess. I am NOT against responsible gun owners, or the number of guns they own.

I know I remember your other posts on the subject, just messin' around. I don't agree with much of the way the NRA does things either. I am a little worried about my rights though given the current administration including congress. I figure they want to protect my rights if for no other reason but to keep members money flowing in their direction.

I don't think they (current administration) wants to take your guns away, if anything, it's a who has what kind of deal. Bush was the one to repeal the automatic assault weapon ban, BTW. Not really in the interest of public safety.

I like to play with autos but that ban didn't really bother me. It's more the semi autos like my SKS or pistols, rifles,or shotguns that would bother me. My stuff is all legal and above board. I have my permit to carry and had the lame background check for each purchase that I also didn't mind. I don't have a waiting period because of my permit to carry. I have no need to spray lead 1 well placed shot is much better. Even during the auto ban I could play with them anyway because my uncle was a federal marshall in charge of arms. It was his department so he used to bring us all kinds of toys to play with.

I'm an NRA'er , but dang , they'll wear the heck out of you with phone solicitation and mail . Aarrgghhhh !

I own and carry, but I refuse to be a member of an organization that spews such blatantly inaccurate propaganda.

+1 in regard to wearing you out with mail.

It seemed like the sole use of my membership fee was to put the money back into sending me letter after letter to renew my membership... even after I had just paid up.
