Really, really nice! I especially like the black headlight housing.

I like the black headlight body and the yokes. Would've (and did) kept the upper shrouds and blacked them out too.

I agree, I think it needs blacked upper shrouds or black leather wrapped around the fork tube. Also looks like you painted the fork tube under the springs, should have used gaiters. That paint will wear off where the seals ride and might contaminate the fork oil.

Thought the chrome upper shrouds gave it a bit of contrast. I'll have to go check in the garage could of sworn I put gaitors on.
Cheers for the comments Chris

(how's about if I let Robbie Robertson and The Band tell ya how I fell about this....to the tune of "Up on Cripple Creek"....) About those triple trees, they impress me I like 'em painted black, they don't distress me Now FINISH the look, and black out completely... ...the upper portion of those forks on your bike there!
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

My mistake I looked closer and those are gaiters. It looked to me the way the light is hitting them that he put coil over springs the way the old 60s bikes were set up and the only way he could have gotten black behind there was to paint the fork tubes! I looked at it a few times too trying to see what he did!

I think it looks good. Personally I would black the upper fork shrouds and the handlebars...but it's not my bike.

I like it! I blacked out mine, including upper shrouds, but not the upper tree or risers, but I did black out the bars. I gotta get some pics up...

Got them from e-bay Jack Lilley ones listed for the bonnie but they fit fine. It's worth getting original Triumph ones as they have venting holes in them which mean they dont collapse. Dont pay more than £25. Cheers Chris

I like it. I would have left off the gaiters and went with the shiney contrast like the uppers are.

I think that would be good too. I think either black uppers or no gaiters. Either way would look cool to me. What matters is what looks cool to Chris though.

I like the clean look of not having the speedometer up there. Whats that unit you installed in its place? Quote:

Looks like a small bicycle speedometer by the right hand controls, behind the master cylinder reservoir.

Its a push bike speedo, Its one of the more expensive ones but very basic functions, only five I think. Tells you how fast, 180mph it says (I'll try it out on Sunday) Total mileage and a trip which I use for fuel. I've measured it on a known mile marker and its bob on. The sensor is on the front disc, runs up the fork leg with all the other wires and cables. Pretty neat fix. Theres a post somewhere with some photos.
Thanks for comments.
