Hey guys. Sorry I've been out of touch lately... Been busy/mentally occupied for a couple months... Long story short, my job had been sucking for a while, and I finally got laid off last month, so it's been kinda tough. But hey, I hated that job anyway!! So the search goes on. Otherwise I've been good. Had my 3 year checkup with the neurologist, and all's well on the MS front! No news is good news ya know? So has everyone been behaving I hope? Have you missed me? In the meantime, I've been doing a lot of woodworking. Even joined a local woodworking club! And the wife is hooking me up with some of her friends who need odd jobs done/stuff built. I need to make a flier so she can put it up in her faculty room. I built a set of steps for her friend's grandfather to get from the garage to the house. Only two steps, but all he had was a plank on a cement block!! I also built a couple kid's flip stools. One of which was for my lovely niece Lizzie I also built this ladybug trivet for my sister out of cherry and maple. I've also been pimping out my tools a little here and there... Dust shroud for my miter saw Built an awesome router table/air cleaner too. That was fun. I made a cupholder for my Vidmar It's held on with a magnet, but I needed a couple hooks so it wouldn't spin... MAde this mallet... I've made a few of these parts sorters for myself and some friends. It's nice, you can dump a coffee can of random nuts and bolts out on it, find what you want, and dump them all back in without spilling anything I feel like I've done a bunch more too... but that's enough for now If anyone has any cool ideas, especially for kids furniture type stuff, lemme know. Always looking for ideas in case one of Kim's friends wants something built! Enough about me, how's everyone else doing? Ready to do some riding?!? EDIT: PS if anyone wants to get in touch with me, a PM or email is always reliable!

Don't mind at all! It wasn't my idea anyway, got it out of a mag. It's like a giant pill sorter... It's about a foot wide, just for reference. It's made from 3 layers, a base, a 3/4" thick middle, and the top/work surface. The middle is important, because the PVC sits on the base, and hooks under the overhang of the top, creating that gutter. I can take a metter side shot if you want to get the idea...

Nice, Benny! I'm also a woodworker. I love that sorter project. That is a great design and will be perfect around the shop. Definitely my favorite idea there.

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

I dig that bolt try too, great idea. I think I'll whip one of them up for myself as well. I hate picking nuts, bolts, and screws up after I dump the coffee can to pick through them.

Yeah man! I have band practice tonight actually. Don't get too excited, it's a community concert band. We had a "gig" at the old folks home a couple weeks ago. man did they appreciate it! Only a few "alarms" went off while we were there But it's a way to play at least once a week. And I'm going to be playing in a sax quartet. Also sat in for a couple people in other concert bands. Mostly marches, Broadway medlies, things like that. I can play Stars and Stripes in my sleep...

Nobody in particular, but it is solid hickory. Might even stand up to your thick skull!!

I love making stuff for around the shop! I put a large exhaust fan on one of those sliding closet door tracks so I can put it on the doorway, made a clamp rack, bench, things like that. Very satisfying to make functional things!
