So we went today to get my wife's new ride, sadly its not a Triumph but she totally loves it and that's what its all about. Good times ahead  I rode it to a parking lot so she could get confy since she took the class last september. She then took it out around the neighborhood.

That's great , Angel . It's a blast having your wife/GF riding with you . My gal rode passenger for two weeks before she had to get her own . Now we ride everywhere . Keep her in the 2-second box either in front or back , depending on traffic . My wife usually follows me staggered 2 seconds back .

I like Wendy to ride in front so I can point out mistakes and try and avoid the little mistake becoming a bad accident.

Cheers guys! yep its an 09 Ninja 250, this thing is super light, easy to handle a perfect noobie bike. We are looking forward to go riding together but she needs lots of practice before we can do that and when we do I'll let her go in front, that's a good idea Ian. When she parked her bike next to my America in the garage I said "yep, there it is, the beauty and the ninja" LOL luckily for me my wife has a good sense of humor

I have read some really good things about the ninja 250. People really seem to like them - lightweight and fun! Good for her!

I'm sure I don't have to tell you this but be diplomatic and don't talk down to her when correcting the mistake. Be sure to express that you care very much for her and want her to be safe and what ever mistake she made could be very dangerous.

HAHA! I told her about the mime joke and after she laugh she said, ok I'll get black gloves... I suppose it was for visibility or a fashion statement of some sort. I'll try to be as diplomatic as possible... she can take critiques very well.

I found it better for me to ride behind my bf , he has over 45 years of experiance and is watching out for me always . I really have learned so much by watching him so I would suggest her be in the back. I have learned to listen to the sound of his throttle, I see how he slows during intersections and so many other great tips that she could be missing by being in front, just my suggestion!! I have put on 6000 miles since sept and I love it!!!

Good points but I instruct Wendy in all those small things and still watch for mistakes that could cause a problem.
