I just read a news clip about Brian Bosworth. Yeah, that Brian Bosworth.
Seems he was pulled over in Hollywood, CA on his motorcycle for "not having a front license plate".
Is this a California law?
I've never seen bike with a front plate. Except the pedestrian slicers they used to have in the UK.

article here

Quote:

Mateljan says the former Seattle Seahawks linebacker was riding his motorcycle when police stopped him for not having a front license plate.

WTF? Gotta be a typo.

Edit. Other articles just say no license plate. Leave to the associated press to be in such a hurry to get the 'news' they can't get it right.

Uh huh! That's RIGHT! We ALL have to have not only FRONT license plates on our bikes out here, but NOW since January 1st we ALSO have to have one placed on the back of our helmets now TOO!!!

Oh, wait a minute here...THAT would be a copy of our DRIVERS license that supposed be on the back of our helmets. Sorry.

Naaaaah...there ain't no front license plate requirement out here for MOTORCYCLES, but there IS a front plate requirement for all CARS, and they're starting to really enforce THAT out here! And so, I'll betcha the ol' wacky Linebacker was REALLY driving his car when this happened and wasn't on a bike.

(...but I'm SURE your thread here Tony will be a whole lot o' fun for all them folks back east who'll use it as an opportunity to express their thoughts about the "Golden State"...just you wait and SEE, dude!...THIS could get fun!!!!)

Another article said
"The Boz was busted for DUI last week in Hollywood after he was pulled over for not having a license plate on his Harley Davidson motorcycle."

AH! So he had no license plate at all, huh?!

Well, THERE'S a real "smart" move for ya alright!!!...

"I think I'll down a few brews and THEN jump on my "oh so stelthy"(and most likely) open-piped Hog with NO license plate adorning the rear end, and then cruise down Sunset Blvd! THAT shouldn't draw anybody's attention at all!"

Problem being, if you live in Montana & gaze towards the southern horizon, the "Left Coast" is comprised of NY, Washington DC and Moe's front yard.

A matter of prospec.. prescript, perspec...---point of view

What kinda' bike does Boz ride anywhow?

jh

Yeah Doc, BUT is that a left while facin' north, or facin' south like my friend John here is evidently inclined to do???

(eeeh, ya know, I got a feelin' that travelin' with John here would be even tougher than travelin' with that crazy duck like I did a while back!)

I think you meant to say a "bullseye." I've been to your fair state. It's a real driving experience.
