Got em, love em. Curious about the mounting I did though. I used stock mounting brackets. The way they fit onto the pipes causes kind of a weird angle when attached to the frame. Not a big deal functionally but it just looks a bit off. Anybody else experience this or am I missing something?

I think mine hang pretty straight but I have to admit I never saw the original pipes and I can only guess that these are the stock brackets:

Mine kinda looked like they were spreading apart. I loosened the hangers at the pipe, then at the hanger mount, then I loosened the pipe clamp where it slips on the header. I adjusted as needed...sometimes with a little effort and choice words but ultimately I got them even and tight to the bike. Adjust: Length first...so they are even at the back of the bike. Then twist (not so easy to do on mine) so the hanger has a touch of angle to it and the pipe is close to the position you want. Tighten hanger at pipe. Tighten hanger at bike (push the pipe into the position you want while tightening. Tighten the hanger onto the pipe. Finally, if no adjustments are needed, tighten the clamps and ride.

Anybody ever see or hear Specialty Spares Short Canons? Eddy has a reference to them on his site.

BTW, the bike modeling the short slash cuts SSs on Eddy's site is my pride n' joy a couple years back. Looks a bit different these days.

Oldroadie, if you don't mine being asked, what's the price range in having your headers ceramic coated? They look sharp! I like the billit tips as well.

I went over to Specialt Spares today to get my tips and take some pics for Dale. Check out his new goodies....
The black slash cut was sanded down for a recoat of the powder but I snapped it anyway for a visual idea.

Here they are on the bike:
You can position the slash cut tip any direction, side, down, etc...

I don't know TBANGA did it before I bought the bike from him. Dale at Specialty Spares custom turned the billet tips to fit inside the coating after I sent him the measurements and they were under $75 shipped ($65 seems right but it was a while ago and I don't remember exactly).

I might have a talk to Staintune about researching their own possibility of bringing out a similar line. From what I can gather, a lot of a business's cream comes from consumable items like these billet tips as a perfect example. No, Dale has been a smart operator to enhance his already impressive credentials. Just too bad I found them (key word "I") a tad loud for my liking, cos those billet tips are something else. Certainly another beaut way of customising one's bike but still, I wouldn't trade in my quality "tunes" for anything even though I am jealous of those tips on your bikes Yep, Very nice. Thanks for the pics

I stopped by a few days ago and hes added another tip. I didnt have my camera but its slotted the long way. Had I not already had the drilled ones I would have seriously considered the slotted.

Hey Z, I got my supply in from Dale and I am going to take some photo's of the slots, they really are cool. I can't decide which I like better, drilled or slotted, they both look cool!
