Gentlemen/Ladies,
I hate to ask on this site but I need a hand with my Tiger, which I don't have a manual for yet.
I need the torque settings for the bolts/fasteners on the LH CrankCase/engine cover. I have developed a small leak and before I take it apart or call the shop I wanted to check if the bolts were torqued down correctly.
Searched all the Tiger Forums and no go. So since several here have a Tiger in the stable....thought I would ask.
I appreciate any assistance, and as always if you are around Wichita there is a good beer in it as well.

10-12nm certainly won't hurt it.

If it leaks, replace the gasket, and torque to spec.

For a Tiger 1050 a torque of 9nm is called for the following covers/cases:
Clutch cover to crankcase Sprocket cover to crankcase Water outlet cover Alternator cover to crankcase Crank cover to crankcase Starter cover to crank cover
Plug, crank cover (torque to 18nm)

perfect, that is just what I needed. Thank you. thanks again. BTW: All and I do mean all fasteners on the cover were loose. not just incorrectly torqued down but LOOSE. I check as many other bolts as I could find and they were tight. Must have missed these durring inspection or weren't checked.
