Can anyone help with a few questions. I've taken half the front end off ready to powder coat the yokes. Rememeber seeing a line drawing of the complete front end posted recently but cant find it, can anyone help.
I'm thinking of putting gaitors on, are they the same dimensions as the normal bonny. Seen some from Jack Lilly which look to have the same part number but they are not specific for the speedy.
Anyone any ideas as to the sizes of allen keys needed to remove front axle. Thanks for anyones help.
Ray, your mate at the powder coaters is going to get a nice big parcel some day soon.
Cheers Chris

An old bolt works good on the front axle, just fine one with a head that fits the opening. Then a double nut (one nut on then a jam nut) to turn it or heat and bend it (what I did) to make your own wrench or a pair of pliers/vise grips to hold it.

The gaitors should work. Both bikes have 41mm forks. The BA and Speedy have 10mm more travel than the standard Bonnie, but it should stretch enough to fit.

Just food for thought. I've read on other forums that genuine Triumph gaiters are favored because the pleats won't "dimple" like most of the aftermarket ones do.
