The poor thing . My hound does that too but not nearly as violent and doesn't jump up or anything. Just a little jogging, barking, and what not. It's usually quite funny and entertaining to watch.

OMG, that is one of the funniest things I have seen in a while! My eyes are actually watering from laughing so hard! Hilarious!

I agree, my mastiffs used to run a little and woof a bit in their sleep, nothing that bad. I feel sorry for that dog, I mean, it's not something you can stop from happening, but it's gotta hurt, I can't really laugh at an animal getting hurt for something it can't help...

The "sensitive sort", are we Tim???

Sorry dude, but no one loves the canine set more than moi, and I just about busted a gut too when Bizkit ran into that wall.

(them there pooches are pretty tough "hombres", ya know...I'm SURE Bizkit is just fine)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

That may be true but I just don't see the humor in something that can't be helped. Now had ol Bizkit been chasing something while awake and smacked the wall cause he wasn't paying attention, that'd be funny but since he was asleep, not so much. I guess I see it like the difference between laughing at someone for doing something stupid and seeing someone with down syndrome and laughing at them, situation a. could have been avoided situation b. couldn't have. That's all I'm saying.

And I agree that Bizkit is probably fine, believe me, I know exactly how tough dogs can be but it doesn't change my mind.

You're equating this dog's little sleep disorder with a human being with Down's Syndrome? Really? Wow.

No, I was using it as a basis for comparison for what I think is funny, things that can be avoided but happen through negligence, funny. Things that cannot be avoided, not. Just my opinion.

I really love dogs, they are funny animals. They all do goofy things whether it's involuntary or not, and it's funny. My house has carpet everywhere but the kitchen, and almost every day my dog will run through and slip and fall on the linoleum. Almost every day. And she's almost 11, so I don't think it's going to change. Can that be avoided? Tim, did you watch the other clips of the dog sleeping? It didn't run into a wall in those, so were they funny? I thought they were. Dogs are great because of the silly things they do, when was the last video you saw with a fish swimming into the side of its bowl? Never? Because that's not funny.

Uh huh. Yeah Dave. So let me get the straight here then...Dog are funny, BUT fish aren't.

Okay, in THAT case...are KANGAROOS funnier than say...AARDVARKS???

(you see, I'm just tryin' to figure this whole thing out here so I can maybe know what kind'a animal to use in my NEXT JOKE around here, dude!!!)

Hey, all I'm saying is find me a viral video of a fish in a bowl doing something 1/100th as funny as that dog. Now try to find some other videos with dogs doing funny stuff.

No fish videos? I wonder why!

Well, ya wanna know MY "theory" about that, Dave?! Well, MAYBE fish aren't funny because of the surface tension of water makes them too tense to be funny.

Yep! Ya see when somebody's too tense(as compared to bein' only say, two tense of one percent tense), then those kind'a folks who might be too tense often can't see the humor in a whole lot o' stuff, SEE?!

(heck...I see THAT kind'a thing all around me every single day, dude...people walkin' around WAY too tense and never smilin'...it's kind'a sad really!!!)

That is hilarious. My Lab dreams very actively... he'll cry, whine, bark, etc... He however has never awoken and run into anything (yet).

You know when you're at the park, throwing a ball for your dog, and you "fake" the throw and the dog takes off and stops when he doesn't see where the ball went or keeps searching for it until you call him back?

That's only funny the first 500 times or so.

That's pretty darn funny alright, Bill.

But, tell me here. Is it only ME, or does that crazy dog who can't seem to control his own leg and appears "a bit distrustful" of it, ALSO remind YOU juuuuust a little bit TOO of THIS crazy guy in a closing scene of a certain dark comedy about nuclear war...

...where HE seems to be havin' the very same "little problem"???
