I received my new Corbin seat today and it wouldn't fit my 2006 America. The back bracket sat 10degrees and 1/2" up off the fender. After some investigation, I found that my old bracket off my Triumph seat fit just fine and the seat now looks and feels like it was designed for it.
Another thing, maybe picky, but this sucker was $632 with back rest, shipping etc. For that money not only do I expect the bracket to FIT but I also expect it to be chrome to match the OEM.
I contacted Corbin but have not heard back.

Are you talking about the bracket for the passenger seat? I had that problem too, it sat up high, even with the Triumph bracket. You're right though, for the money, quality made, fitting brackets should be included.

Nope, I'm talking about the main bracket on the rider seat. Especially in these times when a purchase like this is such a luxury, we need to hold these manufacturers feet to the fire.

I don't remember having a problem with that one, but I still swapped it out with the original chrome bracket.

My corbin fit perfectly on my 06 BA the first time. But, that must've been in 07. Don't like the dull bracket though, but its never seen on my bike because I run the p-pad all the time. However, I totally agree with you and would be just as disatisfied myself if I encountered the same flaw. Isn't there a thread about corbin sellin out? Anyway, with over 20Kmiles on my corbin, it just gets better and better.
Its more fun to be ridin'! I'm still ridin

I don't have a Corbin, wish I did. But, If I remember back in 03 when Corbin started making seats for our bikes they didn't include a bracket for the solo seat. Forum memebers had to use the stock chrome bracket. So I guess Corbin has made some progress in that reguard.

I had a similar problem with my 08. Had to even modify the tounge to get it to fit. Twice I sent emails to both the sales rep I purchased the seat from and to their customer service department and received no replies. I gave up. The BBB has received more than one complaint regrading Corbin.
Never again!
