I bought Zmilins upper shrouds off him as he replaced his with the chrome one. My speedy is the EFI and an 08 model, for those that do not know they come with the tapered upper shrouds which are a bit of a bugger to get a screen to fit. Anyway I have fitted them and had no problems Now do I go ahead and get the top yoke powdercoated

Ray, I noticed you have chrome headlamp cowls fitted. Where did you get them. Did they come from the good old US of A?? I see loads of aftermarket goodies for the BA and Speedies manufactured over the pond

Yep, it's been on all the way through winter as well. Knott End starts up (officially at the cafe) again on the 1st April, but a few of us have kept that going through winter in the pub..

Look good Ray, I presume they are powder coated. I want to do my yokes and lower forks some time soon. Do you know any good coaters around these parts. Cheers Chris
All the best

£15.00 for for upper shrouds the pieces in the lower part of pic and the rest that is actually on the screen, which is the bar across the centre of the screen two smaller pieces and the two large brackets that hold the screen to the pieces.. cheap for all the work as he had to clean all the old chrome off and then powdercoat..

A mate of mine is taking his wheels in on Monday to be powdercoated, sandblasted and coated with something to stop the ally reacting and powdwercoated Gold £25.00 per wheel. You have to remove the tyre and wheel bearings for that..

Our local coaters has a minimum charge of £25, but it would seem that we can a lot of brackets done that (trade). I once had an old Triumph 500 frame coated in satin black for only £35 including the sandblasting... There seems to be a selection of coaters and chromers in the north (uk), it's just finding one that you're comfortable dealing with... I personally would go for the all black shrouded look

Ray do us a favour ask the fella how much he would take to powder coat the elephant ears and the sprocket cover (Silver) ....I went down the polishing the bloody alloy and with all the crud on the road they look like crap. It might be cheaper for me to post the parts on to him and have get them powder coated down near you. The guys want £80-00 quid to do it up here. Its a rip off.

Nice, very nice! I'd like to see someone getting the whole front done plus the light housings? That would be - as they say - Awesome!

If I have any hassle off Triumph about replacing the front forks that maybe the way to go. Not sure about the light housing though

Elephants ears indeed, will ask him if I get chance, I can tell you now Eric it will be nowhere near £80.00 or even £40.00 I bet around £20.00 for all three to be done..

that looks ace! I've been thinking about doing both, upper and lower but my wife likes the upper ones like yours better.
I'm still undecided on what to do.

Eastwood sells the gun, the powder and how to guide. All ya need for small parts is a toaster oven. Get yourself an old electric stove for larger parts....... Eastwood Hotcoat I have both upper and lower shrouds done on mine, and a few other parts here and there.... my bike on mrca My friend has a kit and hooks me up, makes me do all the work though.

At the end of the day it's all personal choice... I started with the tops but doing the whole thing I think makes the bike look shorter somehow... Must be one of those optical thingies...
