Yep Mike! It looks like Soren might just be singin' the following here pretty soon alright....

Well it's one for the money
Two for the show
Three to get ready
Now go cat go

Don't you
mess with these Oregon Brews

Well you can do anything
but lay off of these Oregon Brews

(Soren would sound more like Carl Perkins here than Elvis, of course....at LEAST I would HOPE SO anyway!!!)

Boy, I wonder if any of the people who voted for those '4 legislators' drinks beer?
Sounds like a fast track out of office.
Apparently the lessons of Prohibition were not learned by all.

Holy crap!! One of my favorite beers is from Rogue Brewing Co., and it's already 10 bucks a 6-pack! It would be ridiculous costly if they jacked the tax rate up that much!

Man....I love Oregon for a couple reasons....
1) Smoking is still not completely illegal so at least I can smoke a Cigar in a decent enviroment.
2) The people are just interesting (those that have met Soren know what IM talking about...LOL...just kidding dude!).
3) They have (maybe HAD) some awesome microbreweries.

I saw fire the dumbnuts that cant keep within the budget or at least pull their pay back to minimum wage.

What really sucks here....if this passes in Oregon itll be in Wa and Ca within a couple years!

Time to stock up on a lifetime supply of all my favorites.

The goverment slogan here is if it's not being taxed, tax it. If it's already being taxed, tax it more.

Time to start thinking about Arizona again.

The answer lies in abstinence Soren,

Kick the "devil spirits" out of your life.

Well in that case Soren, you better start thinkin' about that move to Arizona in earnest, ol' buddy!!!

Yep! Maybe you didn't know this, but buried DEEP in that "Stimulus Package" is a proviso which few people know about..."The Precipitation Tax". Yep, you guessed it! Those Feds are gonna start taxin' RAIN now TOO!!!

And dude...I DON'T think I need to tell ya THIS, but YOU GUYS up there in Oregon are REALLY goin' to get HAMMERED with THAT new tax!!!

(...where as of course, those of us who have a residence in Arizona will just view that as just another minor little bother as we continue to venture around the Grand Canyon State upon our Triumph motorcycles in relatively warm, sunny and dry comfort, almost every day of the year)

While I currently reside in Texas due to occupation, I call Oregon home. Soren is right on, Oregon has always been very odd when it comes to taxes and laws. Why one can't pump their own gas is just one fine example, now this. I even just read an article that the governor is spending millions on researching a GPS device that every car would have installed so that drivers were taxed per mile they drove (or rode) so that the state can get more money from individuals who drive high mileage vehicles!

Didn't they try this in New York and it failed miserably?

Yeah, you're right, John. Word was, a large part of the citizenry(no pun intended...much) of the Big Apple had revolted, stormed a city council meeting which was taking place, and applied the requisite pressure(they sat on 'em) until that governing body had rescinded their earlier decision.

(screamed the New York Post headline the following day..."WEIGHTY RIOTERS WRECK COUNCIL MEETING IN WILD WAYLAY!")
