I think mixing types would create more issues than mixing brands. Never ever mix bias with radial regardless of brand. consider that most brand matched sets use different tread patterns, size and widths on front and rear, I don't think you'd have any problem mixing brands.

I had a Dunlop front and two Metzeler rears, handled fine, no strange wear or anything.
