Anybody know of a windproof outershell to wear over a mesh jacket. My mesh jacket is a Triumph Raptor with shoulder, elbow & back CE protectors. It gets cold in the spring and fall commuting to work in the early mornings, but will be hot in the afternoons after work (too warm for leathers). So, before that season comes, I would like to buy a windproof outer shell to wear over my jacket, as I like to ride with protctive clothing if I can.
--Thanks, Tom

You could always use a Joe Rocket windproof liner and maybe a sweatshirt under that if warranted. If you're a big guy I have a 3XL one in good shape you can have for shipping.

Looks like this: http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/1/1/39/391/ITEM/Joe-Rocket-Dry-Tech-Liner.aspx

Thanks, but I would just be a size large/44. But, I will try to see if someone has my size locally and try it on underneath my Triumph mesh raptor jacket. Thanks,

I wound up just getting an inexpensive motorcycle raincoat from CycleGear for $25. It should last a couple of years. Did not want to use my good one daily. It fits over my mesh jacket perfectly, and should work on cold mornings in the spring, fall, and summer when the afternoons later are hot.

Tom,
I think frogg toggs would serve your purpose too. They really knock off a lot of wind, but don't allow sweating and that clammy feeling. Try ebay for a jacket alone - probably 10 bucks.

Yep, it's been chilly in north Alabama this winter. Maybe something like this under the mesh:
