I'm in Pleasant Hill, just east of Des Moines. I rode up to Iowa Falls a few times last year to visit a non riding friend. I always take the bike if the weather allows. Riding with the HOGs is always a little boring since they go so slow. I always let them lead on a group ride since I know they won't take off and leave the group. 
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to me that Rally yet. I wrench on a nostalgia top fuel front engine dragster during the summer. So, I'm 50% sure that we'll be racing somewhere that weekend. I'd love to go to that Rally though!

Well I tell ya, that dosen't sound like a half bad way to spend a few weekends either.

Yea, it rocks! It called the Orange Crate. A few years back it was the fastest car in the country! I started helping them at the beginning of 2007 season when they bought a new car. We are still working the bugs out of it but we managed the get a 5.86 @ 254mph pass at Indy that year.

I figured (& hoped) I'd get a "Clowns" comment from either ladisney or Calkins since you both are in Iowa State Cyclone territory. Others? You know about gimpy. Arstaren is in Iowa. I think I've seen one other (from Sioux City?) on the posts. Not sure of others. I'm glad you asked. I thought about posing this question myself awhile back.

Hey, I'm still suckin air!!!!
I just saw the thread about a Midwest Rally. Used to be largest RAT Rally in the country at Galena, Then Triumph just blew us off and went to Arkansas in '85 I think.

Hey how's it going? Finally someone closer to me. I'm usaully in Waterloo everyother weekend or so. I guy that works on the race car with me lives in Evansdale. His name is Kurt, and has a couple Harleys and a Buell that he drag races sometimes. Do you know Dale & Kat Suhr or Roger Lechtenburg?

Chris, there is a Waterloo in Iowa thats like 6 hours from here. I would imagine that's the one he's talking about.

Lechtenburgh name is familiar, is there a Randy? Where at in E'dale? Buddy I used to work with a guy lives in Ackley and grew up in P'burg. He's retired and drives a little for Campbell Supply out of IA Falls (Keith Galpin).
I'm thinkin about hollerin at one of the other old timers from here (Maurice)and seeing if he might want to head down for the rally

Cool! I work for a part of Campbell's! I'm the service tech for Cam Spray.
My buddie in Evansdale south of Elk Run, under the over pass, and south a couple blocks. I'm not sure what his last name is. He works for the railroad now. Drive a newer red F-150.
