Has anyone had to replace this?

It would appear that I have a small oil leak coming from this. Nothing major but I find that there is a deposit of oil below it.

I think I may have overfilled with oil on the last oil change but I have corrected that problem because the speedy was due an oil and filter change.

I suspect that the plastic part of the switch may have cracked due to the overfill or just cracked due to normal wear.

Anyhow, replacing it looks fairly straightforward but looking at the position of the screw and the nut I would appreciate any tips for getting this off and on.

Before the war on terror, if I saw an unattended package I used to think "I'll be having that!"

i would for sure wait a while to see if it stopped on its own. You're not the first to overfill your oil!
