I doubt anyone does that for their first jump ever. I bet all of them have been skydiving and base jumping for years. The poop yourself moment happens a long time before you do that. It looks awesome. If I was 20 years younger and 100 lbs lighter...

THAT IS EXTREME! One little mistake and you hit something really hard and sharp at over 100 MPH? When I was much younger and immortal I would race through the streets of NYC to get to the scene where a person was allegedly shooting a gun before anybody else. That was stupid! However I did do that during the 70's and 80's. One time I was the first and I got shot with a .45 ACP in the chest for my troubles. It hurt a lot! Thank the Lord for Kevlar and a Steel shok Plate which distributed the impact over a large area and I only broke a few ribs and split my brisket bone. My partner then dusted off that shooter with his .38 but during the fracas got shot in the leg. He ended up with the Major medal that the NYCPD gave out and I ended up with a week in the hospital alongside him.
My hero days are long past but it was fun watching these young immortals flying alongside cliffs in their flying squirrel suits. What will they think of next?
07 Speedmstr, Long Tors, bags, sissy bar and rack, windshield, engine bars, 2 ww lights, 2 fast eddy stickers and a .45 ACP.

It's been 15 years since my last skydive, when I saw that, a certain part of my anatomy started puckering up like it did on my first 20 jumps. They surpassed my comfort zone while skirting those mountain ridges.  My hats off to them.
Didn't buy into the hype, you can keep the change.

I quite like the bit where they fly past the road. Can you imagine the look of suprise in drivers faces as they go past that bend. Mind you it's nothing compared to the look of suprise when they get to their destination and find a guy dressed as a flying squirrel stuck on the top of their vehicle.

About 4 months ago,I remember reading about a guy getting a little too close. As I recall they weren't able to recover all the pieces from the mountainside. Guess the birds had a feast while thinking "Stupid Human".

Obviously rental skis.
There is a nice ridge over the lake & Vinnie has an old rig he'd cut up...and in the summer we could tow me with a boat over the Hudson like a human kite.

Just watched a show tonight where a guy doing this crashed. He was very lucky and just broke his leg and got banged up some. He got too close to the cliff and pulled his chute but hit the wall anyway.

Fatalties are not that high as I could only find one rumour on Google. I kitesurf and winter kite , higher participant count but higher numbers of fatalities but still pretty slim compared to the number of motorcycle fatalities. Unfortunately on a bike you not only have to bear the brunt of your own stupidity but that of others
