Just wanted to introduce myself. Just bought a 2002 America. Former sportster rider. Love the bike. Should have bought one instead of the Sporty. I am in the north Tx area.

Welcome to the site! You ended up with the right bike, that's what matters.

Welcome!

What color did you buy? Is the weather still bike friendly there?
Now you get to start spending money all over again!

Glad to hear of another Texas rider. Where in north Texas are you? There are a few of us in or close to the DFW area and a few more in Austin and Houston.

Brother, it was 82 degrees here yesterday. Of course tomorrow they are expecting ice and freezing rain. That's Texas for you...

I'm in Rockwall. Terry (Tmax) lives east of here, but he works at the FD in Rowlett. He's handy with a wrench. Levi (wyrm72) lives west of you in Lewisville (or somewhere over there). He's not particularly useful, but when he's around we have someone to pick on. Brent lives somewhere between you and I. He's pretty useful, because if you buy anything from him Newspeedmaster.com he'll sometimes let you come pick it up to avoid shipping charges. There are others, but those are the members closest to you- at least the ones that immediately come to mind.

We'll have to meet up for a ride sometime soon.

I was bitten by the bug last April. Blue and white. I go ride with my Harley friends and get more comments about my bike than they do. Makes me feel proud to own something unique. Yesterday added the Triumph light bar. Was going riding but a cold front came in and stayed around today. Rats.

Good choice. My new frend has a 2002 Sportster. On a 4 hour trip this bike beat him up terribly. Some folks don't understand handling or comfort or luxury. But if you go to a Harley Dealor large breasted women in leather vests will make you think you are desirable cause you are a Harley guy. Those bikes are terrably overpriced. (08 BA Former Norton 850 Commando owner.) Don't miss Lucas or Amals.

2008 BA, Ageon Blue, roadster shield, light bar. tach, big bags, square engine guard, short sissy with rack. All Triumph parts. No mods.
