So I got a copy (Xbox) of this on the cheap from Gamefly.com and just started it. Anyone play it already? Got any advice? I tried GTA3 on the PC and didn't like it much. I usually hate 3rd person games (I prefer 1st person) but after playing Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect and Gears of War 1 & 2 a bunch, I thought I'd give this a go.

I bought a used copy of it off fleabay last week for the ps3, and will be playing it after I finish assassin's creed (any day now) so we can compare notes from scratch if you want.

What do you think of Assassin's Creed? I thought it was amazing.

I loved Assassins creed but it got a bit repetative towards the end. Assassins Creed 2 looks pretty amazing. Playing Need for speed undercover at the moment. Its the best car race game i think i've ever played. Gears of war 2 is a bit too much of the same at this stage

Have you played Gears of War 2? It was almost more of a driving/flying game than a shooter. Then there's the giant worm...

Lego Batman (the Lego series, for that matter) is the only game I can play with my girlfriend. She watches her son and I play Gears of War and can't fathom it.

Great game... thoroughly addicted. It evolved from the "Prince of Persia" games which I started playing way back when they were still 2d platform games on an Amiga computer. In fact it was the reason I finally bit the bullet and bought a ps3.

I saw somewhere that can download an Altair skin for the new Prince of Persia game to replace the main character. I've never played any of the PoP games but that fact alone has me interested.

If you enjoyed assassin's creed, you'll like the prince of persia games too - though they're the predecessors so they're not quite as polished. They're a bit different, in that they're more about acrobatics & puzzle solving, and less about swordplay and combat.

Hmm just finished Assassin's Creed... first time I've ever had to use google to understand the ending of a game. OK, it makes a nice lead in to the sequels (apparently it's the first of a trilogy), but that doesn't stop me feeling like the ending plain sucked.

Oh well... on to GTA4 I guess.

Have just got Prince of Persia for 360. Kids are playing it at the moment and looks good once you get used to the different graphic animation. Good game though. Im almost through Gears 2. Love the gun that launches shells into the air and rains down on the enemy.
