I almost dropped it today. I just installed my lowers from National Cycle today and thought I'd take the old Bonni out for a check ride. As I was pulling out from a light where I was first in line, and making a left hand turn, I let out the clutch and started to roll on the throttle. Now the ground was damp and I was in a small town setting where the speed limit was 25MPH., so I didn't need to hit it hard. It was just a normal take off with only a gradual input and halfway through the intersection, the bike starts to slide out like I was on ice. Due to riding dirt bikes, I instinctively stuck my left foot out and counter steered to the right, while I gently rolled off on the throttle a little. I don't think my foot ever touched the ground, and I never did roll all the way off the throttle, but everything else must have been just right, because as I got to the lane I was going to, she straightened out and off I went. It probably looked like a power slide on a round-e-rounder dirt track, in slow motion. In actuality it was a nano-second from having my pretty blue America all scrapped and bent.

Ya'll be carefull out there, ya hear!
BTW, the lowers cut out most of the air that was coming up around the tank and 80% of the air hitting my knees.
