I have a little bit of oil leaking from head gasket 1400 miles 04 speedy still under waranty. should i replace the gasket or should i tork the head bolts. do they all do this?what gives?

If you trust your dealer, take it in for warrentee repairs. If you don't, take it to a dealer that you do trust. First off though, get a clean rag and wipe all around the oil cooler fittings. There might be a bit of seepage there that is blowing back onto the head.

Good point!! I had oil blow onto my header pipe and smoke a bit once.

Don,
Not knowing your mechanical abilities, are you sure it's from the head gasket? Cam cover maybe?
There were some posts on here about Triumph having a problem with the chrome tube between the cylinders in front of the engine being too long or not seating properly. If I remember correctly, that was preventing the head from seating correctly. If it's under warranty, I'd let the dealer fix it...

ould it be cosmoline?

that's the stuff they smear the bike w/ for shipment.

i remember thinking i had an oil leak on the right side case. it was just the cosmoline stuff.

Most likely CAM cover gasket or cosmoline.
