Hi all, I just replaced the stock handlebar risers on my 06 Speedy with the Rivco risers from Brent. I know these are supposed to work with the standard length throttle cables but after the installation the throttle is almost inoperable when the bar is turned hard to the right...the side putting the most stress on those cables. before I do something that may maladjust everything, I thought I'd ask for help from the forum. Btw, I do have the throttle cables routed between the bar and the windshield mount so as far as I can see, there is no other place where I am going to gain slack on the top side. Is there an adjustment I am overlooking?

Try routing the cables down the right side of the frame rather than the left.

The Rivco pullback risers? Those are for the America only. Hopefully you got the right ones. If you pull the tank and run the cables down the right side of the frame, you might pick up enough slack.

Thanks Chy and RW, I thought I might have to reroute so I'll take a look at that tomorrow. And yes, these were the risers for the Speedy, not the America.
