Well, I finally had some time to put the Kisan Headlight modulator on and it was a no brainer...very easy install...two screws remove the headlight ring and headlight...the modulator plugs into the back of the headlight...the pigtail connector on the modulator plugs into the existing headlight wiring...the light sensor that comes with the modulator is on a long cable that plugs into the modulator...you can then route the light sensor out the back of the headlight through the existing hole and wire tie the sensor on your handle bars or else where...or like I did, you can drill a hole in the top of the headlight housing and mount it straight up...the light sensor works great, I slowly put my hand over it and made it dark enough to where the modulating stops...I have a short video showing it standing still and if you look closely you can see the brass light sensor on top of the headlight...I had no one around to film me riding but will have a better video while riding one of these days...Merry Christmas! Thanks for the info! Anyone know how this affects the life of the bulb?

I was wondering that, too. Seems that it would be harder on the filament.

That works really nice, I installed the signal minder and tail blazer, also by Kisan and have been very happy with their products. I have seen bikes with headlight modulaters coming at me down the road before and they really do grab your attention from a long way off. By the way that was very cool the way you inserted that video in your post.

Not a good idea to use in AUS they book you for flashing your headlight onto high beam even during the day if you are within 200 mts of another vehicle , that`s how they get you for trying to warn other`s about cop`s ahead , would be a good idea though

AS for the life of the bulb, "pathBlazer uses a soft-switching technique. It throttles the current flow through the bulb filament, so that there's no "thermal shock" due to a sudden inrush of current, which can damage the bulb filament or shorten its life considerably. This is far superior than maintaining a small voltage!" and pathBlazer circuit modulates the hi-beam current - from 100% ON to about 17% OFF. This is accomplished by using a p-channel MOSFET, which is inherently safe. The MOSFET is designed to fail in the ON state. For additional safety, the circuits DO NOT utilize the lo-beam whatsoever! So for Aus, not sure if it translates to a flash as it modulates by a 17% drop which more of a pulse, nothing even like switching from hight o low beam, I believe. More details here: Kisan pathBlazer

Reminds me of a bike that has a dodgy battery and is trying to charge it. Just wonder if cars will think you are flashing at them though. In the UK we tend to flash cars bikes etc so they can pull out.. I would like to try one one to see if it would make me more visible to traffic in general..

+1 on easy install. On the light sensor, I choose to use the space on the tank instrument housing where the little black do-hicky is. It makes a nice place to mount but requires a little drilling out. Too bad the sensor is brass, not chrome or it would match even better. Still a nice clean look and functional.

Well, today was the first time I really got out and rode with the new modulator on and I can't believe I waited this long to finally modulate a head light on a motorcycle...what an incredible safety item for any motorcycle...it is definitely getting attention of drivers better then anything else I have ever tried...and put that with the added running lights that the signal minder has done and I feel very much safer out there...this is really a must for anyone wanting to be seen by the drivers that just look right through you...you will notice and immediate difference...Very nice! And there is no worry about drivers taking this as flashing to give the go or anyother type of signal...I mean it is modulating constantly...when you flash as a signal...you just give one flash...most people will not take this as a signal...Merry Christmas!
