Just bought my first bike this past April, 2004 America. I would sure appreciate any tips involving winter weather. I have a buddy with a garage but he's 15 miles away and I'd still like to ride on the sunny days. I have a covered patio that it stays under, so it doesn't get rained on. Just want to take as good care of it as I can. It rains a lot here and can get pretty cold. Thanks guys!

well....Im no help. I slow down on my riding when it gets to the mid to low 40s and pretty much stop when it gets below 40. Also not a fan of riding in the rain on purpose.

I would suggest probably spraying some anti-corrosive stuff on some of the nuts and bolts. Maybe WD40. Ive seen a few bikes that spend a lot of time outdoors and there are parts that will rust.

If it snows or freezes on the tarmac where you live, you might check if the road department sprays liquid magnesium chloride on the highways. It can be a bit corrosive.

I almost hate to admit it but...I bought my '07 as an abused child. It had been stolen from it's owner and dumped in a ditch. After restoring her back & adding bling until the wife says stop it.She now lives in my garage next to the pellet stove with a nice flannel cover. There's five inches of snow out side and when I left for work this morning I swear I heard a deep sigh from under the cover...life is good!

Thanks for the help guys. Found a cycle shelter similar to the Cycleshell called the bike barn. You can even order a small 60 watt air flow heater that's supposed to circulate moist air up and out. Guess I'll invest in that. Snowing like ****** today.
