My fingers still go numb on the ride to work when it's in the 20s (F), even with glove liners. Anyone here tried ATV handlebar mitts? Any tips on what to look for?

+1 on the ski gloves. Maybe your only hope of keeping your fingers (another shot may be gloves specifically for snomobiling).

Hippo Hands might look goofy but they work fantastic!
Traded in my'03 TBA for an 06 Tiger but still lurk where the good guys are.

I use Polar Hands for ATVs & snowmobiles. They work great, although a little tough getting the velcro to seal off good around mirror mounts, front brake reservoir and other junk on our handlebars. I have ridden 30 miles at 25°F without gloves with no problem, but light gloves will make it a bit more comfortable.

Actually, that raises an issue I hadn't thought of. Do you take them on and off the bike when you ride? Or is attachment so much of a chore that you don't remove them? I'm thinking there's a risk of theft if I leave them on the bike outside at work.

I just bought a set of Moose Paws at the local Suzuki shop. They go on easy enough, but I haven't ridden with them yet, so I'll keep you posted. I paid 18.95 plus tax, so no big loss if'n I don't like 'em!

Thats what I use sometimes. They work, but like Skillet said, its a little tricky to seal all of the wind out. You can put them on and take them off easy enough.

Okay, I tried these Moose Paws today. No Go! The wind blows them back against the brake and clutch lever. 1. Keeping the brake light on, and 2. making the clutch slip at 70mph plus. Hands were warm with a little wind, but I had winter leather gauntlet gloves on. Temps were 35degrees F when I left. I had to turn around 15 minutes into the trip to take the Paws off! Late for work today and drove the cage. Clay
