I've searched and looked but to no avail , could someone point me to the thread where it discusses how to install the Kuryakyn flat style gas cap.

Thanks

Kevin

Here's one. Pretty simple if you don't have an 07 or up bike.

Thanks for the help, one more question, did you use the 'beveled' gasket

Thanks

Kevin

Kevin....I used the Beveled Gasket on a trial fit. The lid of the gas cap was a fair bit below the top of the console ring. I now have the split gasket in place and the appearance is much nicer. The body of the unit snugged up nice and tight.....so I assume there's a water tight seal there. No gas has leaked out yet. If you install this gas cap, I'd like to hear your opinion on which gasket to use.

Put the cap on today and used the round split gasket and it seems to work fine. Nice and even (almost) with the console.

I have an '06 America with a BOD of 11/05. The cap was snug going in so I lightly filed the threaded area and it went right on and tighten up.

Great addition to the bike, it looks 100% cleaner.

Glad you like it. My bike is an '07 Speedmaster and the gas cap went on without a hitch. Looks great.

I also used the thickest gasket to make the cap flush with the console. I sold my stock one, like the vented cap much better and it looks great.
