They just make the bike sound like a stock bike from the 70's - i.e. they sound pretty good, but not excessively loud and no one will complain. If you want more performance and don't mind a louder pipe, go with an aftermarket pipe.

Nice, at all speeds and loads, and yes especially nice rolling on the throttle. They are straight thru glasspacks, with an old school sound ala Cherry Bombs, and I like 'em a bunch. They pop and grumble a little on decel, but no backfire or loud stuff. I'm due for my 500 mile service, and may have the dealer remap it, not sure yet; I like the grumble!
