pretty. Dwight will like the fins. I see an "N" on the casing but aren't they supposed to be Honda engines?

Like to see that engine in a more classic looking frame like the Commandos of the late 60s early 70s.
I didn't think they were Honda engines, I thought they were redesigned Norton engines. Basicly better engineered take on the old Norton engine, certainly look a lot like the old Norton engine.

Ok, so I read the article.... This is the Kenny Dreer bike pictured, right? And the new company is going to try to make 50 production bikes for 09 based on this prototype? They better get moving and I wish them luck.

Actually Bill, Dwight liked absolutely everything about that bike when he parked his behind on a (then hopefully) pre-production model of it when Kenny Dreer showed 'em off at the Laguna Seca World Superbike Races a few years back.

And no. That engine was a brand new "clean sheet" design which Mr. Dreer unfortunately appeared to have used all of his money in development of, hence his apparent necessity of selling his venture to this English concern.
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Will they bring back the Norton Girls as well? Newer models of course.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

Like buying a Harley. You will spend 10k for the bike and 10k for the badge. Get it on the street and Honda will run away from you at 1/2 the price point is my prediction.
If they sell it for under 10k U.S. it may have a chance.
I predict it will be seriously overpriced for what it can do. Some say its a shame that the Wankel came in just as Norton was dying. Others reverse that idea, thinking the Wankel was the last of bad decisions at Norton.

I'm pretty sure it'll be overpriced and all, but that thing is HAWT.
I'm really happy to see the resurgence of another Brit marque. I realize it's just the name and all, but it appears that they've tried to hold true to the original spirit of the bike. If they're <$10k or so then I'd definitely consider adding one to the stable.

I seriously doubt that if these beauties ever see the light of day that they'll even be under 15 grand, there Jaeger.
I remember Kenny Dreer's business model for this new-from-the-ground-up Norton was to be priced near the $20K mark for the first 20 or so of them which used top-of-the-like Olin suspension parts, and them he was hopeing to drop the price to "only" about $16K or so for models with lesser grade suspension components.
And I'm thinking that the brit concern that bought his venture isn't going to be able to drop those prices much at all.

You are exactly right Dwight.
It will be a very good bike with a very limited number of qualified buyers in the new "credit matters" marketplace.
