I must admit it was a bit disappointing this year.

Certainly was non plussed by the triumph stand. The new thunderbird was there in a couple of guises.

Quite comfortable to sit on and seems to be pretty well put together but in my humble opinion if they are looking at a £10k launch price I think I'd prefer to look for a second hand R3 for about the same price.

But on the good side, me and the missus managed to pick up a jacket each from the triumph range at quite a good discount.

I'll post some pictures in a bit.

Before the war on terror, if I saw an unattended package I used to think "I'll be having that!"

Decided not to go again this year. Nothing really I wanted except a really good pair of winter gloves

Yep, SWMBO and I went this year and I was a little surprised at the lack of throbbing crowds.

Took a look at the Thunderbird. I have to say that I do like it a lot.

But...

My new BA seems to be very similar in style and overall dimensions which leads me to think that, apart from the extra power (Which I don't think the BA needs) there's not much to be gained by getting one.

I went on a bike had police safty check before I entered bike park and tell you they checking better than MOT guys, bought triumph jacket for 35 pound but in my opinion show is getting smaller every year
only one tyre manufacturer was there (maxxis),new thunderbird is superb and was wondering why almost all Victorys had cheap "yamaha style" mirrors same ones we putting on americas and last time I bought them cost me 15 pound a pair

Went on the Thursday and it was not as busy as I expected, Triumph stand was first port of call, picked up a casual zip top, thats about all. good to see and sit on the Thunderbird but as has been said price would need to be right. I also picked up a pair of Davida wrap around shades and a pair of gloves for the son who has just passed his test ( plans to get a bike next year ) in the other stalls. not much on offer in these stalls for the cruiser market I thought, mostly streetfighters and race reps (been there done that). Is there a custom show any time ?
Good day out for three of us though, certainly beats work.

Went on the Friday. Thought the "crowds" were very thin. Parking prices are still outrageous. Retailers were a bit poor and not offering many great bargains. My mate picked a really nice Rev It jacket which turned out to be £320 (all the stuff on their stand was unpriced).......so that didn't come home with us!

Thunderbird was nice but not my cup of tea really. Now a Speedmaster with the bigger engine would have my interest...

Where did that number come from?

The price is what has been quoted in the UK

I do hope you are wrong about the price Ray, not in a position to change yet, or want to, but for 10k I would be tempted by this.

1700cc V twin (dont they all look the same?)
But it comes as standard with--
Cruise Control.
Screen + Lowers.
Hard Panniers.
Backrest.
Front and rear crash bars.
Front and rear foot boards.

Would be tempting

P.S. I have no connection with Kawasaki other than I owned some rusty bikes in thew past.
