I have a 2007 Bonneville with alot of Sixty8 items installed, I love the bike but do not like the blue / purple pipe heads. Has anyone had Triumph header Ceramic Coated - I am considering Satin Black OR CeramaKrome (if I use CeramaKrome) I need the someone also to tell me what is the max temp on the pipe heads get to: (over 1,000 degrees?) plerase advise of temp & Ceramic Coating suggestions. Thanks Sixty8

It doesn't even get close to 1000 degrees. It would sieze the motor before that happens.

If that's a STD Bonnie there isn't much you can do about the headers short of a ceramic coating. The headers on a STD Bonnie are single wall and I have yet to see one that isn't blue after a while, seen many blue before they are even sold.

My headers are cermachromed. Not as shiney as chrome, more like aluminum. Looks good to me and no more blueing.

My T100 had headers blues all the way to the mufflers, even with the AI removed.

Isn't dark bluing mostly caused by excessive heat, mostly by runing too lean?

+1 ... I put 605's and kept the AI in hopes of some blueing... nothing.
