For a Christmas gift my church has approved a "shopping spree" on the church credit card ~~ I have $250.00 to spend. I am looking for a leather jacket. Any suggestions?

Chilhowee has some nice stuff: Chilhowee.com If you scroll to the bottom of the page, they have some clearance jackets. The naked leather jackets are serious heavyweight leather jackets, I have the naked leather racer that I bought about two years ago before they had a clearance when it was $250 but it's well worth it at $250. For $140, you could buy some other stuff too.

Tourmaster makes some very quality jackets. I own a Cruiser II and love it. High grade motorcycle leather, removable liner, lots of zip pockets, removable armor...just an all round great jacket that has received highly positive reviews. My 2 cents.

Maybe you could use the $250 and some of your own to get one of the Triumph jackets, they are well made and stylish. If you can find 10 or 15 % off, then you would only be dropping about 100 bucks of your own

Yeah, Rev, I'd go with a Triumph leather jacket. I have the one with the checkers around it and Triumph in big letters on the back. I get a lot of compliments on it. I like to fly the colors, and it heads off a lot of pointless conversations about "what kind of bike is that?".

I would recommend looking at the Triumph Retro Racer Paddock Jacket, and matching fleece neck warmer. MSRP total cost will be about $230.00 for both. You will be getting a jacket that is wind proof, water resistant, and can be worn from the mid 30's to mid 80's in great comfort. Plus it has elbow and shoulder protection.
Just something else to consider.
Tom

www.teknicgear.comI love my Rebel jacket. The Honda dealer in Sycamore gave me a discount last year (2007) and it cost me $229. I like the weathered/worn look to the leather, the comfort is great, and the utility is very, very nice. Check them out.

Guys ~~ I appreciate the advice ~~ and I have really enjoyed "shopping" for a leather jacket. It looks like now the "bonus" will be used to pay for the new brakes and a couple of other repairs on the bike. Oh well ~~ I guess I will keep on wearing the old textile Paddock Racing Jacket I bought with the bike three years ago. Thanks for your help ~~
