When I got out of work it was snowing. Guess the riding will be a little spotty for the next few months.

How much snow do you get in NM?

I was just thinking the same thing. Snowing to us is at least 4 feet!! Anything less is just "something else" passing through.

Hmmmm......

New Mexico: Much of the winter precipitation falls as snow in the mountain areas, but it may occur as either rain or snow in the valleys. Average annual snowfall ranges from about 3 inches at the Southern Desert and Southeastern Plains stations to well over 100 inches at Northern Mountain stations. It may exceed 300 inches in the highest mountains of the north.

I'm all done too, for they they laid down two separate rounds of road salt 'round here. CT is on a salt only diet for Winter. No more sand. You know what road salt does to our fine British (cough!) Chrome?
It's ugly, I'll tell you that much.

Time for the back hoe to drop the Trumpet down the Easter Bunny cave.

I need me a clapped out high mileage Kawy Concours or the like for a Winter bike.
I like the Concours - a fairly bullet proof & comfortable ride. Now to find one in mint condition with 3K on the clock for around $2k -- hardy har har...

I usually have to snowplow the drive and dig out the trucks a couple of times each winter. The bad part is that it sits there for a while and just when it gets packed hard, it thaws and turns the road into a mud river. Last year wasn't so bad as the year before. 2 years ago, I had to shovel out trails to the pumphouse and barn where I couldn't get in with the tractor. The snow on the sides if the walkways was above knee high.

This year, it looks like they spent the road budget filling in the culverts during the rains, so I'll probably have to plow a path to work.
