I'm looking at buying a Triumph flyscreen for my spangly new EFI Speedmaster.

Does it have to be specifically the one on the current catalog or are the older model screens the same? Say for the 06 carb model?

Edit: does anyone know when VIN 237541 was produced?

Triumph made a change to the fork shrouds in I believe 2007, so you have to get the correct one for the year of your bike.

The Triumph flyscreen has two different mounts. 2006 and prior mount to the fork shrouds, 2007 and later mount under the upper yolk similar to the roadster screen.

Correct on the change, 2007 and up have a tapered fork shroud, previous years were straight that is why the quest for after market shields has become a challenge.
